Alan Dean

Strength & Conditioning Coach – Great Britain Baseball

Alan DeanAlan acts as the Strength and Conditioning Coach across Academy Baseball/Softball and the HPA. Besides a 10-year career in international baseball and softball, he has certifications with both National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Sports Therapy qualifications and UKSCA education.

As Programme Strength & Conditioning Co-ordinator, team athletic trainer and Sports Science Director for the GB Baseball national teams, Alan has experienced several international tournaments since 2007, including European Championships, World Cups, World Championships and the 2012 World Baseball Classic Qualifier, further enhancing his theoretical knowledge.

Away from baseball and softball, Alan is currently overseeing strength and conditioning services to two World-ranked Equestrian Riders (Dressage), Team England and Team Wales Golfers, Professional Golfers (Ladies European Tour, Challenge, Europro, Jamega and TP Tour) World Championship Age-group Triathletes, National and Regional Champions 60/100m Track Athletes.


Rebecca Jennings

Sports Scientist and Nutritionist

Rebecca Jennings

Rebecca’s background is in Sport, with a Sport Science degree from Brunel University and has completed a MSc in Human Nutrition from London Metropolitan University.

Rebecca is a trained ISAK Level 1 body fat and anthropometric assessment specialist. The ISAK qualification is the highest level of scientific qualification to undertake accurate anthropometric (body) calcualtions to measure body composition.

Rebecca currently works part-time with the Chelsea Ladies Football Team as their Nutritionist & Anthropometric Assessor.

An active track athlete/strength athlete, Rebecca has competed at national level in the 100m Sprint Hurdles and 100m Sprint, she has multiple Sussex County championships to her name and as an athlete understands the need to manage your diet and training effectively to produce the desired results.

Andrew Friesen

Sports Scientist and Performance Coach

Andrew Friesen

Dr. Andrew Friesen is a sports scientist with a PhD in sports psychology. He has over 12 years of applied consulting experience and is certified with the Canadian Sport Psychology Association.

Working with athletes and coaches from a wide array of sports, Andrew has worked with Hockey Canada, the Canadian National Sports Centres, and many Canadian provincial teams.
